Living the Dream Tour and Lunch

Sustainable Living Tours
Ever thought of moving to the country for a better life? Join us for a tour and lunch at our three acre smallholding in West Wales where we have lived and worked since 2021, with the aim of living a sustainable and enjoyable life close to nature.
Learn about what we have done to turn a former sheep grazing field into a patchwork of meadows, ponds, orchards, native tree groves, ornamental plants and an eco-campsite. Leave feeling inspired and fired-up for your next project.
What to Expect (and who this tour is for)
Tours and lunch will run from 11am to 13.30pm and must be pre-booked.
This tour would suit: anyone looking for a fun and interesting rainy days activity in West Wales, people interested in growing and cooking their own organic vegetables, anyone who might be thinking of setting up their own life in the country and looking for inspiration and a chat about it.
See below for an outline of what will be included in your visit... Don't forget to visit beautiful Mwnt beach after the tour, you can walk down in 20 mins or drive down in no time at all.
Meet the Ducks

Get the tour off to a fun start when you meet and feed the friendly pet ducks and chickens and learn a bit about keeping them happy.
Sustainable Veg Growing

Tour the Polytunnel where we grow our own organic fruit and veg, and get some ideas (and seeds) to take home and grow…
Living with Nature

A walk around the site to see biodiversity recovering. Visit the orchards, ponds, wildflower meadow areas and trees we have established and to learn how our eco-campsite fits in to the overall picture. Take in far reaching views from the Preseli Hills to the Atlantic Ocean.
Fish Ponds and Aquariums

Expect to see ponds with goldfish and koi carp and tanks of tropical fish. Most likely there will be baby fish in tanks somewhere too, and various vats of plankton and things bubbling away. Don’t get Dylan started with talking about fish, you will never get away, unless you agree to get an aquarium.
Home Grown Lunch

Finish the tour with a home-grown and home-made lunch ( all meals are veg/vgn and are dairy free). Helen could have been a chef, your meal will not be so-so.
You'll dine in the bright, beautifully restored and repurposed, lambing shed and enjoy views of chickens and ducks coming and going by the pond just outside.
This will be the prefect time to chat and ask us about anything you'd like to know more about at our place, as well as you bringing us news from the outside world!
There will often also be a chance to purchase some home made sauces and preserves, as well as hand made items that we make on those long winter nights.
